Where the Wild Things Run 5K
March 4, 2017
Walkers, joggers, and runners: come explore your wild side on the scenic nature trails at Caw Caw Interpretive Center. Caw Caw is actively managed for a variety of wildlife and a favored habitat for rare wildlife, so there is also the chance you may see a "wild thing" or two! An award ceremony with local food and beverages will be held immediately afterward.

Online registration will end at 3 p.m. on March 3. 
T-shirts will be guaranteed for participants who register prior to February 17.
Packet Pick-Up: March 4, 7-8 a.m.

To help preserve and protect our natural resources and interpretive trails, dogs are not permitted.

Kids Activities
Keep the kiddos (ages 6-12) entertained while you run. Free family-friendly yoga and a reading of Maurice Sendak's classic Where the Wild Things Are will go on throughout the morning.

*Charleston County residents contribute to the development of our county park system through property taxes, therefore a discounted rate is available to them.

​The City of Isle of Palms brings in the spring season with a free street festival featuring fun for the whole family! The afternoon features live beach music from The Carolina Soul Band  followed by legendary artists, The Tams.
Kids of all ages can enjoy jump castles, a bungee trampoline, face painting, balloon artists, and much more! The street will be filled with local arts and craft vendors and restaurants.
Cost: ​Free!
Parking: ​Parking is free and located at a large lot on the corner of Pavilion Avenue and Ocean Boulevard
Band Location/Times: ​Bands will perform on the main stage in front of The Windjammer.
Carolina Soul Band - 12:00 - 1:30pm
The Tams - 2:00 - 4:00pm
​Children Activities: ​All activities are free and will take place throughout the festival from 12:00 - 4:00pm

Learn how to create and record music during a four-part series presented by local musician Eric Mills, and receive songwriting guidance by Charleston’s Poet Laureate, Marcus Amaker. Participants will use Garageband on iPads to learn the basics of music production and work independently to create lyrics and an original track. Completed masterpieces will be showcased during the March 30 Teen Lock-In. The song with the most Facebook likes will be played, and the creator will guest star on WYLA 97.5 FM, CCPL’s radio station. Charleston Mom Prom is a ladies night out to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. 2017 will be our 4th year for this one of a kind event. Find your best Mardi Gras attire, grab your girlfriends, and join us for a night of dancing and fun while raising vital funds to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.

Price in March - $50
Your ticket includes 4 hours of dancing with DJ Greg Pitt who'll be playing the best of today and takin' us back with some old school faves, as well as light hors d'oeuvres, non-alcoholic beverages (cash bar available), swag bag of goodies, and the chance to be crowned Mom Prom 2017! Prizes will also be awarded for best dressed classy and best dressed tacky. Some fabulous silent auction prizes will be up for grabs at the event, so bring your cash or credit card!
This fun and exciting event will help raise funds to support my Great Strides fundraising efforts, and help the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation forward their mission to find a cure for all people with cystic fibrosis.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has fueled dramatic improvements in cystic fibrosis research and care. Because of the Foundation, people with CF are living longer and healthier lives. The outlook for people with CF continues to improve year after year.
